Dr.Web won't scan local to local emails in Plesk 12 with Qmail

Symptoms

Dr.Web won't scan local-to-local emails in Plesk 12 with Qmail:

Sender: test@domain.tld
# /usr/local/psa/bin/mail -i test@domain.tld
Mailname: test
Domain: domain.tld
Mailbox: true
Password type: sym
Mbox quota: Unlimited
Mailgroup: false
Attachment files:
Autoresponders: Disabled
Antivirus mail checking: Outgoing mail only
Description:

Receiver: to@domain2.tld
# /usr/local/psa/bin/mail -i to@domain2.tld
Mailname: to
Domain: domain2.tld
Mailbox: true
Password type: sym
Mbox quota: Unlimited
Mailgroup: false
Attachment files:
Autoresponders: Disabled
Antivirus mail checking: Disabled
Description:

SUCCESS: Gathering information for 'to@domain2.tld' complete

Both of mailboxes belong to the same Plesk 12 server.

Cause

This is the expected behaviour. Qmail uses qmail-inject procedure to send local-to-local emails.qmail-inject does not execute mail handlers and, as result, Dr.Web (and other handlers) will not be executed.

Resolution

Switch to Postfix, if such functionality is required.
