Parallels Presence Builder 11.5 does not work correctly with Opera browser

Applicable to:

  • Web Presence Builder for Linux
  • Plesk 11.x for Linux
  • Plesk 11.x for Windows

Symptoms

Sites created with Parallels Presence Builder 11.5 do not work correctly in the Opera browser.

For example, the vertical scrollbar may be missing missing from a site.

Symptoms

When you open a site created in the Web Presence Builder in Opera 12 (and earlier versions), it does not work correctly -- the scrollbar is absent, and the mouse scrolling and PageUp / PageDown buttons do not work.

Cause

The Opera browser engine parse code was created by Web Presence Builder incorrectly.

According to system requirements, Parallels Web Presence Builder 11.5 ( http://www.parallels.com/products/web-presence-builder/requirements/ ) supports the following browsers:

  • Internet Explorer versions 9 and 10
  • Mozilla Firefox 19 and later
  • Safari 6 for Mac
  • Google Chrome 25 and later

As the Opera browser is not included in the list of supported browsers, full integration cannot be guaranteed.

Resolution

Starting from version 15, Opera switched their engine to Blink (this engine is used by Google Chrome). Sites opened in Opera 15/16 are displayed correctly, and the scrollbar, mouse scrolling, and PageUp / PageDown buttons all work correctly.

Please consider upgrading your Opera browser to the latest version.

Parallels Presence Builder will support Opera in a future update. The Feature Request is as follows:

The vertical scrollbar issue has been fixed since update 11.5.8:
