Also Plesk Server is configured as part of the Active Directory forest.

Cause

Since Plesk Server is connected to the Active Directory domain, we need to use full 'username' with the 'servername' prefix.

Resolution

Use 'servername\\login' format as FTP username:

C:\\Users\\parallels>ftp 10.10.10.10
Connected to 10.10.10.10.
220 Microsoft FTP Service
User (10.10.10.10:(none)): server_hostname\\user
331 Password required
Password:
230 User logged in.
ftp> exit

Please note that Active Directory is not required for Plesk. We do not recommend to install Plesk on the Active Directory Controller server.
