When trying to install micro-updates or any Plesk component on CentOS 7 an error pops up.Following error can be found in
ERROR while trying to detect MySQL service name
Check the error reason(see log file: /var/log/plesk/install/plesk_12.5.30_repair.log), fix and try again
Database server is Percona.
This is Plesk bug with ID #PPPM-4079 . It was fixed in Plesk Onyx 17.0 micro-update 9.
For Plesk Onyx 17.0, install the latest Plesk micro-updates .
For Plesk 12.5 and earlier Plesk versions, consider upgrading to the latest Plesk version .
# ln -s /usr/lib/systemd/system/mysqld.service /usr/lib/systemd/system/mariadb.service
# ln -s /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/mysqld.service /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/mariadb.service
# systemctl daemon-reload
Run the following to detect MySQL service:
# service psa status
