Symptoms

Horde webmail is not accessible, the following error is shown:

No input file specified

Cause

Parameter open_basedir is enabled in configuration file.

Resolution

  1. Check if open_basedir is not set in /etc/psa-webmail/horde/horde/php.ini and /etc/psa-webmail/roundcube/php.ini . If it does, remove this setting. For Windows, check this file %plesk_dir%\\Additional\\PleskPHP5\\php.ini

Note : changes might be overwritten after installation of Plesk microupdates.

  1. Make sure that the 'cgi.fix_pathinfo' is set to '1' in /etc/php.ini :

    # grep cgi.fix_pathinfo /etc/php.ini
    cgi.fix_pathinfo=1
  2. Make sure the webmail site webmail.example.com resolves to your server. To check that try do the following (here the example.com is the domain with webmail in question):

  3. Find the IP addess of the webmail:

        # host webmail.example.com
    webmail.example.com has address 2.2.2.2
  4. Make sure that found IP address belongs to your server.

        # ifconfig | grep 1.1.1.1
    inet addr:1.1.1.1 P-t-P:1.1.1.1 Bcast:1.1.1.1 Mask:255.255.255.255
