"Non-zero exit status returned by script" when changing password for user account

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 11.0 for Windows
  • Plesk 11.5 for Linux
  • Plesk 12.0 for Linux

Symptoms

Unable to change Panel user's password. Following error occurs:

Non-zero exit status returned by script

Panel log '/usr/local/psa/admin/logs/panel.log' contains the alike error:

stdout:
Unable to write file /var/www/vhosts/test.tld/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-config.php

Cause

Wordpress application was installed and a Panel user was specified as a default login of it. Furhter Wordpress was deleted manually from httpdocs folder, but existed in the Plesk Panel.

Resolution

Create '/var/www/vhosts/test.tld/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-config.php' with correct permissions.
