How to change a session directory for a new migration?

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.5
  • Plesk Onyx

Question

Is it possible to change a directory for a migration session when migrating via command line interface?

Answer

According to the Migration Guide , before starting the migration via command line, the configuration file config.ini should be created.

On Windows, it should be located at <PLESK_DATA_DIRECTORY>\\var\\modules\\panel-migrator\\conf\\

On Linux, it should be located at /usr/local/psa/var/modules/panel-migrator/conf/

  1. Open config.ini file with a text editor.

  2. Within the [GLOBAL] section define the name of the session directory by adding the following record:

    session-dir = "session_directory_name"

When a new migration is started, Plesk Migrator will store its data in the defined directory.
