Error while retrieving admin password: mailmng-server failed: sh: /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/mailmng-server: No such file or directory

Symptoms

Password retrieve on Plesk 12.x using utility results in error:

 # /usr/local/psa/bin/admin --show-password
ERR [util_exec] proc_close() failed
mailmng-server failed: sh: /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/mailmng-server: No such file or directory

Postfix is installed as mailserver.

File is not present in system:

 # ls -la /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/mailmng-server
ls: cannot access /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/mailmng-server: No such file or directory

Cause

Missing or outdated plesk-mail-pc-driver package.

Resolution

  1. Launch Plesk autoinstaller and install all available updates for your Plesk version:

    # /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/autoinstaller
  2. If the issue persists, make sure that package is installed and that it has correct version:

    # rpm -qa | grep plesk-mail-pc-driver
    plesk-mail-pc-driver-10.10.0-cos5.build1010101227.14

It should have 12.0.18 version from Plesk 12

  3. Update plesk-mail-pc-driver package up to your Plesk version/install if it is missing from Plesk autoinstall repository :

    http://autoinstall.plesk.com/<Plesk_version>/dist-rpm-XXXXXX/opt/maildrivers/
    • For update use:

      # rpm -Uvh <package_link>
    • For new installation use:

      # rpm -i <package_link>
