HTML code issues on sites created in Web Presence Builder

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.5 for Linux

Symptoms

  • Site published with Web Presence Builder has incorrect meta and link tags ending with ">" , instead of "/>" .

    The following can be seen in page headers:

    <meta name="description" content=".....">
    <meta name="keywords" content="....">
    <meta name="generator" content="....">
    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="css/style.css">
  • http://validator.w3.org/ informs about a problem in HTML code:

    An entity reference was found in the document, but there is no reference
    by that name defined. Often this is caused by misspelling the reference
    name, unencoded ampersands, or by leaving off the trailing semicolon
    (;). The most common cause of this error is unencoded ampersands in URLs
    as described by the WDG in "Ampersands in URLs".

Cause

This is Plesk internal issue with ID #PPPM-4533 , which is planned to be fixed in future Plesk updates.

Workaround

To fix the issue with tags ending with ">" , manually change main site templates and re-publish site:

/usr/local/sb/htdocs/templates/generic/html.twig
/usr/local/sb/htdocs/templates/facebook/html.twig
