Plesk is not accessible with one of the following error messages:
PLESK_INFO: ERROR: Zend_Db_Statement_Exception: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1 Can't create/write to file '/tmp/#sql_74c6_0.MYI' (Errcode: 28) (Pdo.php:234)
PLESK_INFO: DB query failed: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1030 Got error 28 from storage engine, query was: DESCRIBE `sessions`
PLESK_INFO: ERROR: PleskDBException: Unable to connect to database: mysql_connect(): Connection refused /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock (Error code: 2002). Please check that database server is started and accessible. (Abstract.php:69)
There is no free disk space or free inodes in the root partition:
# df -h /
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda3 50G 50G 20K 100% /
# df -i /
Filesystem Inodes IUsed IFree IUse% Mounted on
/dev/vzfs 800000 800000 0 100% /
Starting the psa service via SSH might fail with the following error message:
# service psa start
ERROR: Unable to create the PID file (/var/run/sw-engine.pid).: No space left on device (28)
The following record might appear in the file
CONFIG_TEXT: crond: postdrop: warning: mail_queue_enter: create file maildrop/550294.6391: No space left on device
Different services may fail to start with the error
No space left on device, for example:
# systemctl status httpd.service
● httpd.service - The Apache HTTP Server
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/httpd.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)
Active: failed (Result: resources) since sab 2016-11-26 13:19:52 CET; 32min ago
systemd: httpd.service failed.
systemd: Starting The Apache HTTP Server...
systemd: httpd.service failed to run 'start' task: No space left on device
There is no free disk space or inodes in the root partition.
Free up some disk space or increase the inodes limit.
Warning: Disk partitioning is a task which is not related to Plesk and therefore it is not covered by Plesk Technical Support.

If Plesk server is a Virtuozzo container (the file
/proc/user_beancounters exists) and you are the owner or administrator of the Virtuozzo/OpenVZ hardware node, the inode limit can be increased as described in the Virtuozzo article https://help.virtuozzo.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2509811.
