Domains became offline every night. Unavailability time is the same as Plesk daily maintenance script running time

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 11.x for Windows
  • Plesk 12.0 for Windows

Symptoms

After Plesk daily maintenance task was started, all websites became offline in IIS and redirects to custom "503 Internal error" webpage. Domains are available in Plesk.

Cause

Option 'Suspend domains until the backup task is completed' is set in 'Scheduled Backup settings' menu.

Resolution

Disable the 'Suspend domains until the backup task is completed' parameter at:

Home > Tools & Setting > Backup Manager > Scheduled Backup settings

During the backup process, websites visitors will be redirected to the custom error document page with the search engine friendly 503 HTTP code.

After disabling, next backup task will not suspend websites.

NOTE: 'Suspend domains until the backup task is completed' is switched on by deafult to prevent users from modifying their website's content while data is backing up.
