Error "Unknown column T .app_id in on clause" on subscription after upgrade to Parallels Plesk 11.5

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.5 for Linux
  • Plesk 11.x for Windows
  • Plesk 11.x for Linux
  • Plesk 12.0 for Windows
  • Plesk 12.0 for Linux
  • Plesk 12.5 for Windows

Symptoms

It is not possible to install an application after an upgrade to Parallels Plesk 11.5:

Unknown column 'T163798480.app_id' in 'on clause'

Cause

Tables in the apsc database were not upgraded properly.

Diagnosis

Run the following command:

# MYSQL_PWD=`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` mysql -uadmin -Dapsc -e "desc aps_resource"

If you do not see the app_id field, the table was not upgraded correctly.

Resolution

  1. Make sure you have a pre-upgrade dump of the apsc database in the folder /var/lib/psa/dumps/ . Create a backup of the apsc database:

    # MYSQL_PWD=`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow`  mysqldump -uadmin apsc > apsc.dump
  2. Extract the archive:

    # gzip -dc /var/lib/psa/dumps/mysql.preupgrade.apsc.[...some info here...].dump.gz > apsc.sql
  3. Make sure that all the tables in the file have the storage engine innodb . If they do not, change the storage engine to innodb in this file:

    # sed -e 's/MyISAM/InnoDB/g' apsc.sql > apsc_fixed.sql
  4. Recreate a new apsc database without tables:

    # MYSQL_PWD=`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow`  mysql -uadmin
    mysql> drop database apsc;
    mysql> create database apsc;
  5. Restore the tables from the pre-upgrade dump:

    # MYSQL_PWD=`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow`  mysql -uadmin -Dapsc < apsc_fixed.sql
  6. Run bootstrapper.sh repair:

    For Plesk version 11.5.30:

    # /usr/local/psa/bootstrapper/pp11.5.30-bootstrapper/bootstrapper.sh repair

    For Plesk version 12.0.18:

    # /usr/local/psa/bootstrapper/pp12.0.18-bootstrapper/bootstrapper.sh repair
