Symptoms

Wordpress or Joomla installation fails with following error:

Error: Unable to install the app on website domain.tld because hosting settings of this website do not meet the installation requirements. These requirements are listed below. Try installing the application on another website or contact your hosting provider to resolve this issue.

Requirements

PHP version
The document root directory name contains non-Latin characters.
PHP settings
The support for PHP is required.
PHP extension
The support for PHP is required.

WordPress Installations
Upgrade PHP on your subscription to version 5.3.0 or later.

However PHP version 5.3.10 already installed.

Cause

The reported issue is caused by the bug with id PPPM-2242. The issue occurs if the document root have a subfolder, for example " httpdocs\\subfolder ".When a simple path like " httpdocs " is used for document root folder then the issue does not happen.

Resolution

This issue completely fixed in Plesk 12 MU #24.For details please refer to the KB article #213360469
