Parallels Plesk is unaccessible with the error: SQLSTATE: Column not found/Base table or view not found

Symptoms

Parallels Plesk fails to load after an upgrade. The following errors may appear:

SQLSTATE[42S22]: Column not found: 1054 Unknown column 'parentDomainId' in 'where clause'

Or:

SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'psa.serviceinstallations' doesn't exist

Or:

DB query failed: Unknown column 'php_handler_id' in 'field list'

Cause

The Parallels Plesk database was not converted successfully.

Resolution

  1. Create a backup of your current psa database:

    "%plesk_dir%\\MySQL\\bin\\mysqldump.exe" -uadmin -P8306 -p<PleskPanelPasswordHere> psa > c:\\psa.sql

. 3. Upgrade the database manually, making sure to specify the correct from and to versions. You can get the database version from the psa.upgrade_history table:

For example, if Plesk was upgraded from version 9.5.4 to version 10.4.4, run the following:

    "%plesk_bin%\\dbupgrade.exe" --upgrade --from-version=9.5.4 --to-version=10.4.4

Or, from version 11.0.9 to version 11.5.30:

    "%plesk_bin%\\dbupgrade.exe" --upgrade --from-version=11.0.9 --to-version=11.5.30
