Unable to run 'mchk', it fails with error: mailsrv_conf_init... fail

Symptoms

Unable to reconfigure mail server configuration:

/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mchk --without-spam
==> Checking for: mailsrv_conf_init... fail

If you run separately mailsrv_conf_init utility separately:

Fatal error: std::runtime_error(Incorrect format of RTM_GETADDR request response)

Cause

Plesk unable to manage more than 200 IP addresses on the server. Bug with id #PPPM-1274 was submitted.

Resolution

In order to repair mail you should temporarily delete some unused IP addresses from the server. The amount of them should be 200 or less. Plesk read them directly from network interfaces.

Afterwards run:

/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mchk --without-spam
