After upgrade, mail redirects are not shown in Parallels Plesk Panel, but exist in MTA configuration

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 11.x for Linux

Symptoms

Mail is being forwarded, but no forwarding settings are shown in the control panel interface.

For example, here is a redirect from mail@domain.tld to redirect@domain.tld :

[root@mail ~]# cat /var/qmail/mailnames/domain.tld/mail/.qmail
| true
&redirect@domain.tld

Cause

The database was not properly updated during the upgrade. All redirect (forwarding) records should be moved from the psa.mail table to psa.mail_redir .

Resolution

If you need an urgent solution, do the following:

Make a backup of the psa database:

    # mysqldump -u admin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` psa > ~/psa.`date +%F_%H:%M`.sql

Update the psa database manually:

mysql>insert into mail_redir (mn_id, address) select id, redir_addr from mail where redir_addr <> '';
mysql>update mail set redir_addr = '', mail_group = redirect, redirect = 'false' where redir_addr <> '';
