Key is failing to update

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 10.x for Linux
  • Plesk 12.5 for Linux
  • Plesk 11.x for Linux
  • Plesk 12.0 for Linux


  • Plesk sends key update deferral notification continuously.

    /var/log/plesk/panel.log contains the following error:

    ERR (3) [panel]: KeyUpdate Result desc:
    License key is not prolongated yet
  • Plesk Unity license was installed on the server


The Unity Mobile service was shut down some time ago by its authors and it's not possible to provide it to our customers anymore.

Unity Mobile license keys were terminated.


  1. Remove Unity Mobile key from Plesk > Tools & Settings > License Management > Additional License Keys

  2. Re-run daily task script to update Plesk key:

    #/usr/local/psa/bin/sw-engine-pleskrun /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/DailyMaintainance/script.php -f UpdateKeys
