Question
How to access Plesk interface in a web browser?
Answer
Note: port 8443 has to be opened in a firewall in order to log in to Plesk.
-
Open Plesk login page:
Note: change the "203.0.113.2" IP address or "example.com" in the URLs below to your server IP address or hostname.
CONFIG_TEXT: https://203.0.113.2:8443
OR
CONFIG_TEXT: http://203.0.113.2:8880
OR
CONFIG_TEXT: https://example.com:8443
OR
CONFIG_TEXT: http://example.com:8880
-
Specify username and password for Plesk administrator in the corresponding Username and Password fields:
-
Press the Log In button.
Reset the Plesk admin password by using steps from one of these articles depending on the installed OS:

How to retrieve/reset password of Plesk Administrator (admin) user in Plesk for Windows?
Also, there is a possibility to log in to Plesk by generating a disposable login link:
-
Execute this command in order to generate a Plesk disposable login link:
Note: the generated link can be used only once.
After it is used, a new link has to be generated.# plesk login
https://example.com:8443/login?secret=dEdJc3GJWkK%2FmPWrMvCPfAd1CWzQQY0oVkwzJze
https://203.0.113.2:8443/login?secret=dEdJc3GJWkK%2FmPWrMvCPfAd1CWzQQY0oVkwzJze -
Put the generated link to the browser in order to automatically log in to Plesk.
-
Sometimes, due to the specific network configuration, the link is generated for a private IP address and no link for the hostname appears:
# plesk login
https://192.0.2.2:8443/login?secret=dEdJc3GJWkK%2FmPWrMvCPfAd1CWzQQY0oVkwzJzeAn attempt to login to Plesk by using this link fails.
In this case, just change the IP address in the generated link from private to public one or to the server hostname:
CONFIG_TEXT: [BEFORE]
https://192.0.2.2:8443/login?secret=dEdJc3GJWkK%2FmPWrMvCPfAd1CWzQQY0oVkwzJze
[AFTER]
https://203.0.113.2:8443/login?secret=dEdJc3GJWkK%2FmPWrMvCPfAd1CWzQQY0oVkwzJze
OR
https://example.com:8443/login?secret=dEdJc3GJWkK%2FmPWrMvCPfAd1CWzQQY0oVkwzJzeand insert it in the browser.
There is also a possibility to log in to Plesk by using the "root" username (on Linux) or the "administrator" username (on Windows) and the corresponding password:
Note: this logging way can be disabled and, if so, this way will not work.
-
Open Plesk login page:
Note: change the "203.0.113.2" IP address or "example.com" in the URLs below to your server IP address or hostname.
CONFIG_TEXT: https://203.0.113.2:8443
OR
CONFIG_TEXT: http://203.0.113.2:8880
OR
CONFIG_TEXT: https://example.com:8443
OR
CONFIG_TEXT: http://example.com:8880
-
For Windows only, specify the "administrator" username and the corresponding password (which is used for connecting to the server via RDP):
For Linux only, specify the "root" username and the corresponding password (which is used for connecting to the server via SSH):
-
Press the Log In button.
-
If you are a server owner:
Contact a server provider in order to restore the access to the server and follow the "If the access credentials to the server via SSH/RDP are known (a universal solution)" or "spoiler If the access credentials to the server via SSH/RDP are known (may not work due to the specific Plesk configuration)" sections from this article.
-
For others:
Contact a Plesk administrator in order to restore access to Plesk.

Dear Plesk:
I need to reset my password but I get no link from Plesk. I just get a message that says: A Responsive Email template.
How can I contact someone at Plesk to help me reset my password?
Thanks,
Greg Felton
Hello Greg Felton
In case you have the server administrator access, use this instruction: https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213381869
If you're renting a hosting from a hosting company, it's required to contact the company, from which you're renting it.
Hi, could you please update the Domain Name Server in the records so our site start working.
THANKS
Hello Javed Khan
Plesk is a product used by web hosters to manage hosting servers. You will need to contact the company, which provides hosting services to you.
Como faço para solicitar o aumento de minha memória na hospedagem?
Hello,
Today my website has unexpectedly stopped working without any code changes.
I can not even get to the Plesk GUI using the :8443 method (I usually am able to), without getting a "This site can’t be reached" error.
Any probable causes for this? Was my site the target of a DDOS attack?
Thank you.
Hello Cbordon,
It seems the issue can be related to the fact the server itself is unavailable. Hence I recommend you contact the hosting provider for further investigation.
If access to the server is possible I suggest you create a request to Technical Support in order to check the issue further.
My programs need to find files in the home directory. What is the disk drive letter to use? Example: G:\PleskVhosts\aubrick.net\httpdocs. What letter should I use instead of G?
Thanks
