[How to] Manage spam settings in Plesk via CLI?

Which CLI utility should be used to manage spam protection in Plesk?

Answer

The spamassassin utility is used to manage Spamassassin spam filter through CLI:

Linux:

/usr/local/psa/bin/spamassassin --help

Windows:

"%plesk_cli%\\spamassassin.exe" --help

By using this utility, the following tasks can be performed on a Linux server:

  • enabling/disabling server-wide spam filtering
  • setting the criteria for automatic labeling of incoming messages as spam
  • enabling/disabling use of mail-name specific spam filtering criteria
  • adding mail messages to the Spamassassin's black and white lists
  • marking mail subjects as spam
  • deleting spam automatically
  • inserting custom text into spam message subject lines automatically

And on Windows server:

  • enabling the use of server-wide spam filtering settings
  • setting the number of hits required to mark a letter as spam
  • adding mail addresses to black and white lists
  • marking mail subject as spam, deleting spam messages
