MailEnable webmail loads very slow

  • Plesk 12.5 for Windows


MailEnable webmail loads very slow. Users are unable to list messages after logging in.

The following kind of messages can be found in Windows Event Viewer:

General: (MailEnable Authentication TD Provider error: 0) An error occured when accessing the resource: "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Parallels\\Plesk\\Mail Servers\\Postoffices" as user "SERVER\\IME_ADMIN". The error reported was: (5) Access is denied.

Restoration of permissions using %plesk_dir%\\Mail Servers\\Mail Enable\\Bin\\MEInstaller.exe utility does not solve the issue.


User IME_ADMIN does not have enough privileges over %plesk_dir%\\Mail Servers\\Mail Enable\\Postoffices directory.


  1. Open Security Properties of %plesk_dir%\\Mail Servers\\Mail Enable\\Postoffices directory:
    Right-click on directory > Properties > Security > Edit

  2. Select user IME_ADMIN and grant him Full control:

  3. Restart MailEnable Postoffice Connector service.
