- Plesk Onyx for Windows
MailEnable webmail loads very slow.
Users are unable to list messages after logging in and MailEnable webmail shows "Please wait..." window infinitely:
The following messages can be found in Windows Event Viewer:
CONFIG_TEXT: General: (MailEnable Authentication TD Provider error: 0) An error occured when accessing the resource: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\Mail Servers\Postoffices" as user "SERVER\IME_ADMIN". The error reported was: (5) Access is denied.
Restoration of permissions using
%plesk_dir%\Mail Servers\Mail Enable\Bin\MEInstaller.exedoes not solve the issue.
There are no permissions (or they are not Full Control) for user
%plesk_dir%\Mail Servers\Mail Enable\Postofficesin Properties > Security > Advanced.
Insufficient permissions for the
IME_ADMIN user on the
%plesk_dir%\Mail Servers\Mail Enable\Postoffices folder.
It is required to set correct permissions for the
IME_ADMIN. For that:
Log into the server via RDP.
Execute the following command via the command line:
C:\> icacls "%plesk_dir%\Mail Servers\Mail Enable\Postoffices" /grant "IME_ADMIN:(OI)(CI)(F)" /t
Check any folder inside
%plesk_dir%\Mail Servers\Mail Enable\Postofficesfor proper permissions by right-click > Properties > Security. If IME_ADMIN still does not have
Full Controlright click on
%plesk_dir%\Mail Servers\Mail Enable\Postofficesfolder Properties > Security > Advanced > Replace all child object permission entries with inheritable permission entries from this object > Apply
MailEnable Postoffice Connectorservice:
C:\> sc stop MEPOCS && sc start MEPOCS
Note: bear in mind that in case of fresh Plesk Onyx 17.8 installation, default path to MailEnable is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mail Enable\ and it is not inside
