How to update or upgrade Plesk installation through the command line?

Answer

To update or upgrade Plesk installation through the command line:

  1. Download the Plesk Installer utility for your operating system from http://page.plesk.com/plesk-onyx-free-download and save it on your server's hard drive:

    Windows

    Open web browser on the server and download the required Plesk installer.

    Linux

    Download the Plesk installer using the wget utility:

    # wget autoinstall.plesk.com\plesk-installer
  2. Run the Plesk installer:

    Linux:

    # chmod +x plesk-installer
    # ./plesk-installer

    Since Plesk 12.0, "plesk installer" command can also be used. Simply execute it and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Windows:

    plesk installer

    or 

    "%plesk_bin%"\ai.exe --console
