Unable to access File Sharing repository with the system user name "admin": Wrong username or password

Symptoms

The following error appears when you open File Sharing for any subscription.

Internal error: Unable to access File Sharing repository with the system user name "admin": Wrong username or password.

In Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Security you can see records like:

    An account failed to log on.
Account For Which Logon Failed:
Security ID: NULL SID
Account Name: admin
Account Domain:

Failure Information:
Failure Reason: The specified account's password has expired.

or

Account For Which Logon Failed:
Security ID: NULL SID
Account Name: admin
Account Domain:

Failure Information:
Failure Reason: Unknown user name or bad password.

Cause

'admin' account password has unsynced/expired.

Resolution

Change admin password:

"%plesk_bin%\\init_conf.exe" -u -passwd New_Plesk_Password

In case of "Unknown user name or bad password." you can just sync admin password by the following command:

    net user admin <current_admin_password>

If changing password doesn't help then execute following command:

"%plesk_bin%\\file-sharing.exe" --sync
