FTP and database user passwords are reverted to old ones after migration

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.5 for Linux

Symptoms

When migrating a domain, which already exists on destination server, with option Mail content only, FTP and MySQL database passwords are changed to old passwords, which are set on source Plesk 12.0 server.

This can affect mailboxes password, as well.

Cause

This is an expected behavior. Mail content and FTP users with their passwords are a part of subscription and cannot be migrated separately.

Detailed GUI clarification about what options are defined in Object to Transfer section is added to Plesk Migrator 1.10 in accordance with internal software issue with id #PMT-2642 .

Resolution

Please go to Plesk > extensions > Updates > check now and update the Plesk Migrator extension

or Plesk > extensions > My Extensions > Select Plesk migrator and Click Update.
