Question

How to change the location for mailboxes in Plesk for Windows Server?

Answer

  1. Connect to a Plesk server via RDP.

  2. Launch Plesk Reconfigurator at Windows Start > All Programs > Plesk.

  3. In Plesk Reconfigurator, select Change Plesk Mail Data location.

  4. Specify a new location for Plesk mail data and click Next. All existing mail data will be transferred to the new location as well.

    Note: During this operation mail services and Plesk will be stopped.

    I need to know if this action do:

    1. Copy all files to new path. When finish proceess delete old directory (double size)

    2. Copy to new path and delete old file, file by file (same size)

     

    It is important to know for disk space or VM space

    Thanks for your question.

    Plesk Reconfigurator transfers mail data to a new location according to the first statement:

    • Copy all files to new path. When finish process delete old directory (double size)
