The MySQL error log file
C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Parallels\\Plesk\\MySQL\\Data\\<hostname>.err
contains the following:
InnoDB: Error: log file .\\ib_logfile0 is of different size 0 5242880 bytes
InnoDB: than specified in the .cnf file 0 10485760 bytes!
The reason is in MySQL config file changing. If custom value is specified for
Default valuse is 10Mb.
The problem is that autoinstaller cnahges the value of
to default 10 MB, however the logs are remained 5 MB. This conflict prevents MySQL service from starting and upgrade fails. After it is failed, the configuration file are being rolled back and then MySQL service can be started.
The issue is confirmed as a bug #PPPM-1646 .
To prevent the issue you should:
Move INNODB logs (
"%plesk_dir%\\MySQL\\Data\\my.ini", and set the parameter:
Restart MySQL service.
NOTE : You should set the parameter exactly 10 MB size so that it will not be changed by autoinstaller, and no conflict will happen.
