Note: This article has the reference to the issue with the fix available:
- #PPPM-4442 "WordPress installs put into maintenance mode using a WordPress plugin could no longer be managed via the WordPress Toolkit."
- Plesk 12.5.30 Update 32 11 May 2016
When accessing WordPress instance at Home > Domains > example.com > My CMS, the following error appears:
Decoding failed: Syntax error
At Plesk > WordPress, the instance is shown as /httpdocs and is not accessible.
Website offline mode was enabled by WordPress plugin. When the website is being edited, website visitors see maintenance mode page.
If such plugin is enabled in the WordPress instance, WordPress Toolkit does not recognize it displaying the syntax error.
This is Plesk bug with ID #PPPM-4442, which was fixed in Plesk Onyx.
Upgrade to the latest Plesk version .
As a workaround for Linux, disable/remove the plugin:
Note: if you don't have root access to Plesk server via SSH, contact your hosting provider regarding the issue

3. Sync the WordPress instance at Plesk > Domains > example.com > My CMS
