How to transfer (migrate) from Plesk for Windows to Plesk for Linux and vice versa?
Starting from Plesk Onyx, it is possible to transfer files and Mysql databases between Linux and Windows: Site Importing feature allows to do that. It is possible to migrate content from servers running both Linux and Windows, and even from servers that do not have Plesk installed. For more information, visit Plesk Migration Guide.
Cross-platform transfer for earlier Plesk versions is not supported by Plesk Migrator.
During migration of WordPress instances from Windows server to Linux server the warning about non-registered WP instance can occur. Apply the workaround from the following article.
The rest of Plesk versions do not support such functionality. In this case, the only way to migrate subscription from Linux server on Windows server or vise versa is to create the exact same subscription on the destination server and upload all the content manually. Plesk Professional Services team can help with that task on a paid basis. To learn all conditions, contact Plesk Professional Services.
