DNS record does not exist in BIND zone file, but exist in Plesk

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.0 for Windows

Symptoms

  • BIND DNS is used as DNS server
  • While updating DNS records for some subscription in Plesk > Subscriptions > example.com > DNS Settings > Add record corresponding records being added to PSA database, however zone file in %plesk_dir%\\dns\\var\\example.com in BIND not being updated.

Cause

Database inconsistency.

Resolution

Contact Plesk Technical Support Team regarding this issue, since the issue requires difficult operation with Plesk database.
