Unable to add php handler 'module' after removal using php_handlers_control utility

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.5 for Linux
  • Plesk 12.0 for Linux

Symptoms

Handler 'module' was removed using this command:

 # /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/php_handlers_control --remove --id=module

Trying to add it again, the following error message is shown:

 # /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/php_handlers_control --add --displayname=5.4.16 --path=/usr/bin/php-cgi --phpini=/etc/php.ini --type=module --id=module
Unable to create custom handler with type `module'

Cause

This is an expected behavior. Only one handler 'module' can be present.

Resolution

The module can be added back by inserting these strings into /etc/psa/php_versions.json file:

{ "id":"module", "path":"/usr/bin/php-cgi", "clipath":"", "phpini":"/etc/php.ini", "version":"5.4.16", "displayname":"5.4.16", "type":"module", "system":false},
