Migration error : Failed to perform action: Convert clients and subscriptions

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.5 for Linux
  • Plesk Onyx for Linux
  • Plesk 12.5 for Windows

Symptoms

  1. Migration fails the following error:

    [ERROR] Failed to perform action: Convert clients and subscriptions.
    Cause: Unable to continue migration until there are no issues at 'error' level in pre-migration checks.Please review pre-migration tree above and fix the errors. You can also use --ignore-pre-migration-errors command- line option if you're sure what you are doing.
    That is a critical error, migration was stopped
  2. The following error can be found in info.log :

    Detected problems|
    `- Subscription 'example.com' |
    |- warning: There is not enough free exclusive IPv4 addresses on target Plesk to map all source exclusive IP addresses. This subscription will be migrated to default shared IP address |
    | Add more free exclusive IP addresses to target panel or change IP addresses of migrated subscriptions after migration |
    |- warning: There is no shared IPv4 address on target Plesk. |
    | Fix Plesk configuration so there is at least one shared IPv4 address

  3. Each account on the source server has a dedicated IP assigned, or there are IPv4 and IPv6 addresses assigned to a domain on a source server but IPv6 is missing on a destination server

Cause

IP addresses mismatch on a source and destination servers.

Resolution

  1. If there are not enough dedicated IP addresses on the destination server, apply one of the following solutions:

  2. Add more dedicated IP addresses to the source server

  3. Change the type of an IP address from dedicated to shared

  4. If there are IPv4 and IPv6 addresses assigned to a domain on a source server but IPv6 is missing on a destination server, apply one of the following solutions:

  5. Add IPv6 address on a destination server and add it to Plesk in Tools and Settings > IP Addresses

  6. Remove IPv6 address from a domain on a source server in Web Hosting Access menu (do at your own risk)
