High server load during Plesk daily task

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.5 for Linux

Symptoms

There is very high load on the server during daily maintenance task execution. In some cases the server may go down.

The following errors are appearing constantly in " /var/log/plesk/panel.log ":

Try running wp core download --force ."}

Cause

The version of Wordpress installation on " example.com " domain is less than 3.5.2

Resolution

  1. Take full backup of the subscription.

  2. Update the Wordpress installation in Plesk.

  3. Make sure the following operation finishes successfully:

    # /usr/local/psa/bin/sw-engine-pleskrun /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/DailyMaintainance/script.php -f UpdateApsApplications
