    A few other points specific to high CPU usage:

    1. Make sure your queries are properly using indexes

    2. Make sure innodb_buffer_pool_size is 80% of available memory on server

    3. Try using Dynimizer. It's a JIT compiler for MySQL and some other programs. Can significantly improve CPU efficiency of MySQL: https://dynimize.com/blog/tutorials/beginner/dynimizer-quickstart-tutorial/

    4. If all else fails then definitely see if upgrading to a server with more cores helps. The latest versions of MySQL scale well with many cores.

    @Mike Rodriguez,

    Thanks for the advice! I believe it will be helpful for other Pleskians.
