Plesk upgrade failed - ERROR while trying to upgrade MySQL password format for Sitebuilder user

Symptoms

Plesk upgrade failed with the following error:ERROR while trying to upgrade MySQL password format for Sitebuilder user

Cause

The Presence Builder database user was not created during the Plesk upgrade.

Resolution

Check if the Presence Builder user exists in the mysql database:

mysql> select User from user where user='pp_sb_db'

If the user is absent, then create it:

mysql> create user 'pp_sb_db'@'localhost';
mysql> flush privileges;

Get password for the pp_sb_db user from the '/usr/local/sb/config' file:

# grep password /usr/local/sb/config | awk '{print $3}'
<some_password>

Update the database user with the password from the previous step:

mysql> update mysql.user set password=password('<some_password>') where user='pp_sb_db';
mysql> flush privileges;
