Cause

Default database server is not defined in Plesk.

Resolution

In order to fix the issue make sure that you have installed appropriate database server for domain restoration:

  1. Check psa database:

    mysql> select * from databaseservers \\G;
    *************************** 1. row ***************************
    id: 1
    host: localhost
    port: 3306
    type: mysql
    server_version: 5.1.68
    admin_login: admin
    admin_password: $AES-128-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    parameters_id: 20
    last_error: no_error
    *************************** 2. row ***************************
    id: 2
    host: localhost
    port:
    type: mssql
    server_version: 10.50.4000
    admin_login: sa
    admin_password: $AES-128-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    parameters_id: 17
    last_error: no_error
    *************************** 3. row ***************************
    id: 3
    host: .\\MSSQLSERVER2012
    port:
    type: mssql
    server_version: 11.0.3128
    admin_login: sa
    admin_password: $AES-128-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    parameters_id: 18
    last_error: no_error
3 rows in set (0.00 sec)
  2. Make sure that default database server is defined in Plesk: Tools & Settings > Database Servers . For default servers, you can see labels like (default for MS SQL) or (default for MySQL) .

  3. Set default server for each type of databases.
  4. Check Plesk license for postgresql database support as well.
