Unable to install a certificate for a domain: SSL/TLS Certificates option is missing

Applicable to:

Symptoms

Website is hosted on shared IP address.

SSL support is enabled for website, however, it is not possible to select a certificate in Plesk > Domains > example.com > Hosting Settings of the domain.

SSL Cerificates option is missing under Plesk > Domains > example.com

Cause

To make possible to use authentic SSL/TLS certificates for sites hosted on shared IP addresses SNI support should be enabled.

Resolution

Enable SNI Support:

  1. Open Plesk > Tools & Settings > Server Settings
  2. Enable option Turn on SNI support, which allows using individual SSL/TLS certificates on websites with the same IP address and click OK1.PNG
