What is the default username and password for Plesk?

Answer

Plesk Onyx does not support --show-password option due to security reasons. Use one of the following command to generate a one-time login link:

  • For Linux
    # plesk login
    # plesk bin admin --get-login-link

By default, the username is admin . Alternatively, login can be done using root username.

  • For Windows
    # plesk login
    # plesk bin admin --get-login-link

By default, the username is admin . Alternatively, login can be done using administrator username

Plesk 12.5 generates temporary password during Plesk installation that can be retrieved the following way:

  • For Linux
    /usr/local/psa/bin/admin --show-password
    # plesk bin admin --show-password

By default, the username is admin . Alternatively, login can be done using root username.

  • For Windows
    "%plesk_bin%"\\plesksrvclient.exe -get

By default, the username is admin . Alternatively, login can be done using administrator username

Plesk 11.0 has password generated automatically for administrator account and can be retrieved:

  • For Linux
    # /usr/local/psa/bin/admin --show-password

Plesk 10.x and earlier uses the following default username and password after setup:

Default username: admin
