Gmail doesn't verify that that DomainKeys is used by domain.

Symptoms

  1. Gmail doesn't verify that that DomainKeys is used by domain example.com with response:

    <source_ip>195.138.90.150</source_ip>

    <count>10</count>

    -<policy_evaluated>

    <disposition>none</disposition>

    <dkim>fail</dkim>

    <spf>pass</spf>
  2. External DNS server is being used for domain example.com

Cause

Misconfiguration in DNS settings about DomainKeys on external DNS server.

Resolution

  1. Verify that DomainKeys spam protection is enabled server-wide in Home > Tools&Settings > Mail Server Settings

  2. Verify that Use DomainKeys spam protection system to sign outgoing email messages option is enabled in Home > Subscriptions > example.com > Websites & Domains > Mail > Mail Settings tab

  3. Make sure that TXT records related to _domainkey.example.com. and default._domainkey.example.com. are copied to external DNS server from Home > Subscriptions > example.com > Websites & Domains > DNS Settings as is without any additional options.
