How to migrate a single user to another Plesk Sitebuilder 4.5 server

Question

How to migrate a single user to another Sitebuilder 4.5 server?

Answer

A single user/site may be migrated with utilities sbbackup and sbrestore.

Note : the utilities were developed for users/sites backup and restoration on a single server, but they may also work for migration. For correct work, it's recommended to migrate users with sites, not single sites.

  1. Backup a user with all its sites on a source Sitebuilder 4.5 server:

    Sitebuilder 4.5.9 for Linux :

    # /usr/local/sitebuilder/utils/sbbackup user --uuid=<user uuid> --with-sites --with-site-content --recursive --output=/BACKUP/DIR/USER.NAME_BACKUP.xml

    If the user is a Reseller, then all Site Owners that belong to the user are dumped with this command.

    To get a list of UUIDs for regular Sitebuilder users use the following MySQL query:

    mysql> select uuid from sitebuilder3.user where user_name not like 'admin%';

    Sitebuilder 4.5.5 for Windows :

    <SOURCE SITEBUILDER DIRECTORY>\Utils>SBBackup.exe users --uuid=71023d4c-1278-4e57-a736-ba1d469105d3 --recursive --with-sites --with-site-content --output="C:\USER_NAME.xml"

  2. Restore the user with all its sites on a destination Sitebuilder 4.5 server:

    Sitebuilder 4.5.9 for Linux :

    # /usr/local/sitebuilder/utils/sbrestore user --uuid=<user uuid> --with-sites --with-site-content --recursive --input=/BACKUP/DIR/USER.NAME_BACKUP.xml

    Siteubilder 4.5.5 for Windows :

    <DESTINATION SITEBUILDER DIRECTORY>\\Utils>SBRestore.exe all --input="C:\\USER_NAME.xml" --log="C:\sbrestore_xml.log"
