Cannot login Plesk: insufficient resources on license error is showing

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.0 for Windows

Symptoms

  1. Cannot login Plesk. The following error is showing instead of Plesk:

    Error: The license key is invalid. In order to use Plesk, you need to obtain and install a new valid license key.
    The amount of currently used resources overrides the limits defined by your license.
    The number of websites hosted on the server exceeds the limits defined by your license. You have 97 sites hosted; your license allows hosting only 0 sites.
    The number of served customer accounts exceeds the limits defined by your license. You have 101 customer accounts currently served; your license allows serving only 0 customer accounts.
  2. Solution from KB #213942025 did not resolve the issue.

  3. In Plesk php_error.log file there is an errors like the following:
    error: C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Parallels\\Plesk\\admin\\repository\\lock\\repository: cannot create: Permission denied

Cause

Insufficient permissions for psaadm user in security settings for %plesk_dir%\\admin\\repository folder.

Resolution

psaadm user should have full control in security settings for %plesk_dir%\\admin\\repository folder.1. Go to %plesk_dir%\\admin\\ folder2. Right click on repository folder and choose Properties .3. In Properties window open Security tab and check permissions for psaadm user.4. Make sure that psaadm user has full access to that folder
