Using Micro-Updates in Plesk 11.x, 12.x and Onyx

General information

Plesk micro-updates can be installed either via command line interface or via Plesk graphical interface.

NOTE: During micro-update installation, the Panel service will be restarted.

Step-by-Step Guidance

There are two ways to install micro-updates for Plesk.

  1. Using command line interface:

    For Plesk 11.x and 12.x on Linux:

    # $PRODUCT_ROOT_D/admin/sbin/autoinstaller

    Note: The $PRODUCT_ROOT_D variable in the command above should be replaced with its value according to the following Knowledge Base article: Plesk variables .

    For installing the latest Plesk micro-updates non-interactively, use the following command:

    # $PRODUCT_ROOT_D/admin/sbin/autoinstaller --select-product-id plesk --select-release-current --reinstall-patch --install-component panel

    For Plesk 11.x and 12.x on Windows:

    %plesk_bin%\\ai.exe  --console

    For installing the latest Plesk micro-updates non-interactively, use the following command:

    %plesk_bin%\\ai.exe --select-product-id panel --select-release-current --reinstall-patch --install-component panel

    For Plesk 12.5 and Onyx on Windows or Linux

    plesk installer --select-release-current --reinstall-patch --upgrade-installed-components
  2. Using Plesk graphical interface:

In Plesk version 11.0 and later, the functionality is available from the Tools & Settings > Updates and Upgrades section:

Checking whether micro-updates are installed on the system

Windows:

Check the C:\\ParallelsInstaller\\microupdates.xml file.

Alternatively, you can check the patch version in the registry:

For 64-bit systems:

    C:\\Users\\Administrator>reg query "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Wow6432Node\\PLESK\\PSA Config\\Config" |findstr InstalledPatches
InstalledPatches REG_SZ panel-12.5.30-23

For 32-bit systems:

    C:\\Users\\Administrator>reg query "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\PLESK\\PSA Config\\Config" | findstr InstalledPatches
