Wordpress installation fails: forkExecvPipes: execv() failed: Permission denied

Symptoms

Wordpress installation fails with the following error:

Error: The following error has occurred during the installation of application: Installation of WordPress at http://example.com/ failed. Non-zero exit status returned by script. Output stream: 'forkExecvPipes: execv() failed: Permission denied System error 13: Permission denied '. Error stream: 'forkExecvPipes: execv() failed: Permission denied System error 13: Permission denied '.

In Plesk 11.X and 12.0, the following error may appear:

Error: Installation of WordPress at http://example.com/wordpress failed. Non-zero exit status returned by script. Output stream: 'Unable to find command line php interpreter. '. Error stream: 'Unable to find command line php interpreter. '.

Cause

Wrong permissions on " /usr/bin/php " binary.

Resolution

Set correct permissions on " /usr/bin/php "

# chmod 755 /usr/bin/php
