How to change default vhosts location in Plesk for Windows?

Resolution

  • To change vhosts location:

  • Open Plesk Reconfigurator from start menu as Administrator .

  • Choose Change Virtual Hosts location and provide the exact location where you want to move the vhosts data
  • Click OK and Plesk Reconfigurator will transfer all data. All newly created websites will be automatically placed in the specified folder

Note: If you need to use Plesk default templates (default webpage, error pages and etc.) you need also to copy the directory '.skel' and content from previous vhosts location: "C:\\Inetpub\\vhosts\\.skel" to the new one, for example: "E:\\IIS_hosts\\.skel"
