Plesk 12.5 Notifications do not show <password> variable in plain text

Symptoms

Configured <password> variable in Tools and Settings > Notifications does not display actual password in plain text. Instead, the message looks like:

    password: <encrypted>

Cause

This is an expected behavior in Plesk 12.5 that has some security improvements. For security reasons, <password> variable does not display password in plain text.

Resolution

<password> variable can be set for the following event: creation of a reseller or customer account. It is possible to get the password for an account from account owner email only (reseller's or customer's). To get the password for an account, follow the link from the notification:

    https://<hostname>:8443/get_password.php?email=<client_email>&login_name=<client_login>

The following page will be opened:

Click on send to get an email with password reset link. An email will be sent to account owner email.
