Mailbox disk usage is calculated incorrectly

Symptoms

Plesk shows incorrect statistics for the mailboxes on the domains. Domain mailboxes use less disk space than is shown in the Control Panel. Disk usage for the mailbox is shown even if mail service is disabled on the domain.

Cause

The issue was discovered in Plesk version 10.0.1 and was fixed in Plesk 11.0.9 Update #24.

Resolution

Upgrade Plesk to version higher than 11.0.9 Update #24

For versions earlier than 11.0.9 Update #24, apply the appropriate hotfix on the server.

For Linux:

  1. Replace the file $PRODUCT\_ROOT\_D /admin/smb/application/controllers/StatisticsController.php with the file from the attachment .

Please read the KB article #8083 about the hotfix installation procedure.

  1. Recalculate statistics for the domains with the statistics_utility . The statistics_utility can be found in the directory $PRODUCT\_ROOT\_D /admin/sbin/ :
    /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/statistics --calculate-one --domain-name=domain.tld

For Windows:

  1. Replace the file %plesk_dir%\\admin\\smb\\application\\controllers\\StatisticsController.php with the file from the attachment .

Create a copy of this file before replacement.

  1. Recalculate statistics for the domain using the following command:
    "%plesk_bin%\\statistics.exe" --process-domains=domain.tld
