Error deleting a domain: Table::select() failed: no such row in the table

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 10.4 for Windows
  • Plesk 11.0 for Windows

Symptoms

When attempting to delete a domain the following error is displayed:

Error: Table::select() failed: no such row in the table

Cause

There are several possible causes related to missing values in the Plesk database. There are fewer such problems in the Plesk 8.2 version compared to previous versions.

Possible causes of problems deleting an installed domain on Plesk 8.2 include:

  • A Site Application was removed physically from the Application Vault on the server level
  • A missing domain alias in the DNS zone
  • Different values which depend on this domain in the Plesk database

Resolution

First, consider upgrading Plesk to the 8.2 version.

If Plesk version 8.2 is used and the problem still occurs:

  1. Download the file which fixes the problem with proper Site Application removaland place it in the "%plesk_dir%\\admin\\plib\\SiteApps\\" folder.

  2. Download the file to fix the issue with a missing domain alias in the DNS zone and place it in the "%plesk_dir%\\admin\\plib\\domainaliases\\" folder.

  3. Download the file to eliminate object dependence in the Plesk database and copy it to the "%plesk_dir%\\admin\\plib" folder.

Note : Please also read how to install Plesk hotfixes properly.

After applying the appropriate fix, try to delete the domain again.

Note that this error is quite common and occurs whenever a database value is missing. The provided solutions only address the most common causes of this problem .

If the issue persists after the upgrade and/or hotfix installation, please contact Plesk support for further assistance.

Additional Information

"%plesk_dir%" is the environment variable that points to the Plesk installation folder. By default, this folder is located here: "C:\\Program Files\\SWsoft\\Plesk."

"%plesk_bin%" is the environment variable that points to the Plesk binaries folder. By default, this folder is located here: "C:\\Program Files\\SWsoft\\Plesk\\admin\\bin."
