Unable to access Plesk: MySQL query failed: Unknown column "s.click_time" in "field list"

Symptoms

Plesk is not available after an upgrade to version 12.

The following error appears during an attempt to log in or perform any operation:

MySQL query failed: Unknown column "s.click_time" in "field list"

Cause

The 'click_time' column is missing from the 'psa.sessions' table.

Resolution

  1. Access the Plesk database:

    ~# plesk db
  2. Drop the 'sessions' table and recreate it with the following SQL query:

    mysql> drop table sessions;

    mysql> CREATE TABLE `sessions` (
    `sess_id` varchar(33) CHARACTER SET ascii COLLATE ascii_bin NOT NULL,
    `type` smallint(5) unsigned NOT NULL,
    `login` varchar(255) NOT NULL,
    `ip_address` varchar(39) CHARACTER SET ascii NOT NULL,
    `ip_dual_stack` varchar(39) CHARACTER SET ascii DEFAULT NULL,
    `login_time` datetime NOT NULL,
    `click_time` timestamp NOT NULL DEFAULT CURRENT_TIMESTAMP ON UPDATE CURRENT_TIMESTAMP,
    `modified` int(10) unsigned DEFAULT NULL,
    `lifetime` int(10) unsigned DEFAULT NULL,
    `data` mediumblob,
    PRIMARY KEY (`sess_id`)
    ) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8;
