Mail is not delivering: cannot get RSA private key from file /etc/postfix/postfix_default.pem

  • Plesk 11.x for Linux

Symptoms

I cannot send email with enabled SSL, the following error appears in mail log:

    warning: cannot get RSA private key from file /etc/postfix/postfix_default.pem: disabling TLS support
warning: TLS library problem: 3985:error:0906D06C:PEM routines:PEM_read_bio:no start line:pem_lib.c:696:Expecting: ANY PRIVATE KEY:

Cause

PSA private key is absent or it is invalid in /etc/postfix/postfix_default.pem .

Resolution

Make sure that Private Key exists in /etc/postfix/postfix_default.pem . It should be valid and correspond Certificate part.
