Publish site: "Site publication settings are changed. Some data stored at the published site may be lost"

Applicable to:

  • Plesk Sitebuilder for Linux

Symptoms

The following errors occur during publication:

1 Site publication settings are changed. Some data stored at the published site may be lost.
2 Cannot find data of "Image Gallery" module (ID is "%mid%"). All module data is lost.
3 Cannot find data of "Statistics" module (ID is "%mid%"). All module data is lost.
4 An empty database for "Image Gallery" module (ID is "%mid%") is created.
5 An empty database for "Statistics" module (ID is "%mid%") is created.
6 Module data is updated, but with warnings.

Cause

These effects were created by design; module data is stored on the published side. Therefore, when publication settings are changed and the site is published to the new location, all module data is lost. In this case, before publishing to the new location, all data from the old location should be copied to the new one, and only then can the site be published.
