Limitations on outgoing email messages are enabled on the server, but don't work for
Outlook 2007 . The following entry appears in mail log:
py_limit_out: INFO No SMTP AUTH and not running in sendmail context (incoming or unrestricted outgoing mail). SKIP message.
ERROR Malformed SMTP session auth
SMTP authentication is not configured for outgoing messages.
Configure your mail user agent to use SMTP authentication for outgoing messages.For
Outlook 2007 it can be done with the following steps:
Account Settings. The
Account Settingsbox will appear.
Verify that the
Click on the account to highlight it and click on the
Changeicon above it. The
Internet E-mail Settingswill appear.
More Settings…in the lower right corner. The
Internet Email Settingsbox will appear.
Click on the tab
Click the tick box
My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication, and select
Log on usingoption. Specify mail account credentials.
OKto close the
Internet Email Settingsbox.
Also, ensure, that
127.0.0.1 address is not added to mail server white list at Home > Tools&Settings > Server-Wide Mail Settings > White List .
